PEMBROKE – Juliette T. French, 98 of Pembroke, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 at Pleasant View Center in Concord, NH.
Born on November 16, 1918 in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Mary Anne (Letendre) Boucher.
Juliette was a longtime resident of Pembroke and worked for many years at Textron. She was the Vice President of the Women’s VFW. Mrs. French was a longtime member of both the St. Therese Rosebush Society as well as the Ladies of Sainte Anne. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, doing puzzles, reading and knitting.
Besides her parents, Juliette was predeceased by her husband Gerald E. French in 2005, a son, Gerald E. French, Jr. and a grandson Kenneth Dow as well as 12 siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. Laurence French and his wife Nancy of Webster, Lester French of Colorado Springs, CO; Melvin French and his wife Suzanne of Gorham; her daughters, Loretta Poulin of Concord, Myrna Dupont and her husband Henry of Concord, NC, Marcia Richard and her husband Robert of Hopkinton, Janet Bacon of Concord and Joyce Graham of Lewiston, ME as well as 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 8th from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 11am at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Following cremation, burial will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Monday, July 17th at 11am.
