Effective June 15, 2020, New Funeral Home Guidance has been released, based upon recommendations from the NH Funeral Directors Association and the Governor's Re-Opening Task Force. In addition to continual, thorough facility sanitation and training for our staff, the following measures are being implemented effective immediately:
Funeral Service attendees should be notified/informed that if they have symptoms of COVID-19, they should NOT attend the funeral services for the protection of other attendees and staff.
Funeral Service attendees should wear face coverings at all times when inside the funeral establishment.
The number of attendees inside a funeral establishment will be limited to 50% or less of an establishment's permitted occupancy
based on New Hampshire's Building & Fire Code.
Any waiting/receiving lines inside and outside will have demarcations spacing attendees at least 6 feet apart.
Seating must be arranged at least 6 feet apart with space to allow people to move through without coming into close contact with others.
Establish one-way traffic patterns to promote social distancing.
Close contact with others (e.g. hugging or hand-shaking) is discouraged. Condolences should be provided from a distance of at least 6 feet.
No food, snacks or drinks are allowed in funeral homes or reception areas.
Visitations will be limited to a period of 2 hours in order to allow for appropriate facility sanitizing and cleaning as prescribed by the CDC.
Our family remains available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to personally respond to your needs. We are committed to responsibly serving our family's needs throughout this challenging time, even as guidelines and directives are updated or changed.
If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to call us at any time:
When my mother passed away we contacted Matt and Katie. They were quick to respond. Katie guided us through the entire process of what needed to be done and the reading Matt gave at the cemetery was perfect. It made the situation very comforting for the family knowing we were not alone in the decision making.
Through my father‘s passing away and all the hard times that I’ve been going through right now they have answered all my questions and been very amazing. They have had no problem with me contacting them at anytime, made everything a lot easier on me. They make it seem like you’re almost working with family. I want to give a big thanks to the whole staff for making this as easy as it could be on me especially Katie she is the person that I was in most contact with and always got back to me in a very timely manner and would totally recommend them to anybody that’s going through the same situation that I am right now
My sister's and I have never had to do anything like this before, let alone for a parent. Katie just so graciously accommodated our personalities, all 3 different, and made us feel that there was no right or wrong way to grieve or plan a funeral. Matt was right there to find the answer to every question we threw at Katie. Both were just so amazing and treated us like we were their family, always with a shoulder for us, whenever needed. They were supportive, loving, and helped us plan exactly the way our mom would have wanted. We are so thankful that this completely unexpected loss of our mother was honored by Katie and Matt, and that we had them to guide us through this. Thanks so much to both of you.
The Petit family has served my family for years. Starting back in 1984 when my brother passed away after birth. They went on to bring services to my grandfather grandmother aunt and cousin. When I started off the New year with the death of my mother I didn't even know where to start. Katie was absolutely amazing! She kept in contact with me every step as I live 2 hours away. She helped me contact the right people to gather assistance, and was truly amazing when it was time for me to pick up mom and bring her home. So thank you Katie for helping me every step of the way words cannot express how grateful I am
Matt , Our family wants to thank you all for everything you have done to give my sister Marlyse and Marie Formally known as Allenstown four & Bear Brook murders The Funeral they deserve as innocent victims , We are so very thankful , From all of us we Thank you
Matt and Katie Roan and their staff did an amazing job with the services for retired Captain Alan Topliff of the Pembroke Fire Department. Their professionalism and compassion for the special nuances of a fire department funeral was outstanding. The men and women of the Pembroke Fire Department are eternally grateful for their service.
With warmest regards, Captain Rob Farley Pembroke Fire Department
Matt and Katie handled my mother's arrangements with both great compassion and complete professionalism. They never rushed us but also didn't allow anything to be overlooked. You don't realize how complex and delicate funeral services are until you need them, and we are so glad we pre-planned my mother's arrangements with Petit-Roan. They handled all requests and questions promptly and with sensitivity during a sad and overwhelming time. Matt and Katie are an capable team and a true asset to the community they serve.
We highly recommend Petit-Roan Funeral Home to our friends and family. Our family's loss was unexpected and we chose to delay services. Katie guided us through decisions that needed to be made timely and those that could wait. There was no pressure in the entire process; just gentle guidance and genuine caring to help us consider all our choices. Katie and Matt were responsive to all of our emails and answered questions that we had even after the services were completed. Katie connected us to a Reverend who officiated the graveside service with grace and paid tribute to our son in a loving manner. Katie and Matt's attention to detail was also on target. Having communicated to the florist that our son liked to fish, a small fishing pole was included in the wreath we had ordered. It is all these things that make us thankful that we used Petit-Roan.
No one is ever ready or expects a tragedy to happen. Still Oaks were beyond kind and professional to me and my family as we went through the worst days of our lives. Katie was so kind and helpful to me during and after. I helped arrange another family membership services in MA and they never reached out after to see how my family was doing but Katie did. She told me she was here for me if I ever needed anything just call her anytime. I was the one in charge of all the arrangements this time. When it happened the only place I could think of to use was Still Oaks. My family member that had passed had gone to services there before and somehow we talked about Still Oaks while driving by one day a year or so ago. We never talked about that is the place I want you to us but I felt like he would want me to. So Still Oaks it was. I called them that night and they were already expecting my call. We made arrangements for the next day to meet and start the process. Katie let me take my time and guided me through everything. She made me smile at a situation that happened and I knew that was my loved one all the way. I never felt rushed and was able to take my time. After the services Katie reach out to make sure I was OK and if I needed anything. I thought that was so nice. I really wasn’t expecting that at all. I wasn’t just forgotten after everything was done and on to the next. They really do care about people and I would highly recommend using Still Oaks. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. They made my worst days a little better and for that I am grateful.
My cousin died unexpectedly and unfortunately there was nothing in his home that identified next of kin or nearest relative. When the police called the funeral home in Concord that begins with a "W" they declined to take possession of the body. The other funeral home in Concord also declined. Thank God for Matt and Katie. I don't know what we would have done without them. I cannot write enough positive words to express my and my family's appreciation or enough words to express my disappointment with the "W" funeral home that my family has depended upon for generations. We plan to Pre-Arrange as part of our estate planning and our family has decided unanimously that we will exclusively work with Petit-Roan Funeral Home for all our future needs. Hopefully mine will be later than sooner. Thank you Matt and Katie for the important work you do. You treated us with kindness, prompt attention and professionalism.
Still Oaks Funeral Home recently handled the funeral services and arrangements for my mother.
Katie and Matt were amazing. Their care and attention to detail were nothing short of phenomenal. From coming to get my mother in the middle of the night handling the death certificate to ensuring personal touches were in place, like some of her favorite things.
No matter what the problem, Katie was there to make sure we had nothing to worry about. We were free to simply grieve and gather close as a family.
In my mother’s case, we had a military funeral and a placard for her grave. Katie took care of it all - we did not have to do a thing. She even took care of the military honors at the burial.
My family and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the Still Oaks service and support was for us. We highly recommend them to anyone.
From the minute we drove up and saw the beautiful grove of autumn trees surrounding Still Oaks in Epsom we knew it was the right place for us. Our hearts were broken and heavy with the unexpected death of our beloved boy, Ethan Michael, but Katie and Matt immediately assured us that their job was to make this time as meaningful as possible and that whatever we felt comfortable with they would help make happen. They both went above and beyond and we will never be able to fully express our gratitude. Our aching hearts were eased by their kindness, honesty and professionalism. When we talk about Ethan's calling hours and burial, one of us inevitably says, " Thank goodness for Katie and Matt."
Planning funeral arrangements for a loved one is never easy, but Katie was extremely helpful in getting everything organized for us, including the arrangements for my mother's last trip home from South Carolina, even finding the vocalist who my mother loved from 15 years ago who had since retired, and got him to sing at her funeral. I don't know who else would have gone out of their way to do that. The professionalism was excellent, but the humor was very much appreciated too! My family has nothing but good things to say about Katie and Matt. Thank you again!
I want to thank matt and katie from the bottom of my heart.they were so caring and had so much compassion when i needed it the most.they took care of my mom very professionally .and if anyone ever asked me i would recommend them in a heart beat thank you for all you have done.i can not thank you enough,i just wish i had something i could give you in return. thank you thank you thank you
When my father died very unexpectedly, Still Oaks was everything we needed. From the most caring and respectful removal, to the presentation of his Army flag, Katie was with us. She helped guide me through some difficult decisions, and just seemed to take care of the things I wouldn't even know how to do. She is a wonderful person, making her phenomenal at her chosen vocation.
There is not enough space for me to describe how much Matt and Katie helped our family thru all aspects of this process. Even parts of it that weren't their responsibility. They coordinated efforts with the other companies and services involved in the process, and got things done. Their family values are not just advertising, they're genuine.
Dear Matt. Thank you so much for all of your help in the pre planning of moms final wishes. Having arrangements in place was a blessing. Her passing came all too quickly but the phone call that you had her in your care that Monday afternoon on March 6th gave me comfort and will for a long time and your professionalism paired with your deep caring for the loved ones we have lost is why you are the best.
I wanted to thank Matt and his wife, Katie for helping us through a difficult time. The Still Oaks Funeral Home staff were compassionate, caring and professional during the entire process. They made the celebration of my Mom's life very special. They made the process as easy as possible. Thanks again for making the process and celebration so seamless. It took a tremendous amount of stress away in a very difficult time. -Bob and Deb
