Vivian Gosselin Obituary

EPSOM – Vivian M. Gosselin, 83, of Epsom, formerly Pittsfield, passed away peacefully and with her family by her side on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Epsom Healthcare.

Born on October 22, 1939, in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Simone (Bolduc) Allard.

Vivian was the owner and operator of Magic Carpet Day Nursery in Hooksett for over 20 years; she loved children and was able to watch them grow and thrive. In her early years, she was very involved with her church choir and folk group at Holy Rosary Parish in Hooksett. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, completing crosswords and solving puzzles. Vivian cherished time with her loved ones. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought her more joy than anything else; she loved attending their activities and watching them grow. Even as it became tougher to travel, she made sure to show up.

Vivian was predeceased by her parents, her grandson, Nathan Vincent, and her brother, Claude Allard.

She is survived by her prince and love of her life, Paul L. Gosselin, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She is also survived by seven children: Michelle Melanson and her husband Carol of AZ, Marc Gosselin of Auburn, Sharon Streeter and her husband Robert of Epsom, Kenneth Gosselin of Concord, Gail Vincent and her husband Patrick of Pittsfield, Debra Gosselin of Pittsfield, Steven Gosselin of Pembroke, and siblings, Denise Therrien of Hooksett, Janice and Donald Duval of Hooksett and Darlene Richard of Nashua. She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren (with two more on the way), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In accordance with Vivian’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 12 Noon at St. Josephs Parish, 844 1st NH Turnpike, Northwood.
