Karen Pope Obituary

PEMBROKE – Karen A. Pope, 77, of Pembroke, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Born on March 27, 1945 in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Cora (Anderson) Wilcox.

Karen moved to Concord at a young age and attended the local schools, a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1963 she continued her studies in Beauty School. Karen enjoyed traveling with her family, doing crafts and scrapbooking and any time she was able to spend with her granddaughter. She was employed as a Teacher’s Aide for over 18 years at Great Expectations here in Pembroke.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Pope in 1969 and her brother, Bruce Wilcox in 2022.

She is survived by her husband, C. Robert Pope of Pembroke with whom she shared 58 years of marriage, sons, Darin P. Pope and his wife Sharon Delaney of Rye and Ryan R. Pope and his wife Barbara of Pembroke, one granddaughter, Caylie M. Cocola-Pope.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Granite VNA Hospice Program or to the First Congregational Church in Pembroke.
