CHICHESTER- Mrs. Alice P. (Cantara) Resila, 83, of Chichester, passed away at the Harris Hill Center in Concord on April 28, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, Alice was the daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Rondeau) Cantara. She was raised and educated in Suncook and had resided in Florida for over 40 years before returning to New Hampshire in 2019.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Unit Secretary for the Sebring Hospital in Florida. Alice enjoyed working outside, traveling in her car and attending motorcycle rallies. She had a special love for thunderstorms as well as animals, especially horses. She also enjoyed the sunshine and the heat.
She was predeceased by her husbands: Norman McQueen, Robert Auger and Robert Resila; and her siblings: Germaine Bouffard, Doris Moran and Roger Cantara.
Alice is survived by her children: Pamela L. Tepper and her husband Scott of Chichester, Steven A. McQueen and his significant other Tina Bowers of Minnesota, Robert A. McQueen and his wife Darlene of Pembroke and Ernest H. Gelinas and his wife Cheryl of Florida. She is also survived by her sister, Estelle Wilcox of Manchester as well as her 13 grandchildren and 16 ½ great grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be sent to the Live and Let Live Farm, 20 Paradise Ln. Chichester, NH 03258.
