Rita L. Kierstead

PEMBROKE – Rita “I’m Fine” Kierstead, 81 of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by family.

Born on February 14, 1937 in Nashua, NH she was the daughter of the late Albert and Blanche (White) Charpentier.

Rita attended Nashua High School and at the age of 19 married the love of her life Thomas Kierstead.

Rita loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, traveling to the Beach or to see the Nubble Lighthouse. She was known for enjoying yard sales and her son-in-law David was her partner in crime on these outings.

Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband Thomas Kierstead in 2003, a grandson, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law, Debra Kierstead and her son Michael.

She is survived by her children, Brent Kierstead and his wife Mary Ellen of Londonderry, Brenda Tatro and her husband Charles of Boscawen, Brian Kierstead and his wife Linda of Franklin, Christopher Kierstead of Canaan, Donald Kierstead and his wife Marilyn of Lebanon, Kathleen Tatro and her husband Fred of Springfield, Shawn Kierstead of Danbury and Timothy “Tiny” Kierstead and his husband David Arsenault of Pembroke, brothers, Roger Charpentier and his wife Evelyn of Florida and Ronald Charpentier and his wife Monice of Hooksett, 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per her request there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Element Lounge, 1055 Elm Street, Manchester.
