PEMBROKE- Mario Dakalovic, 18, of Pembroke, passed away on June 5, 2018.
Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Mario was the beloved son of Zorica Dakalovic. He came to New Hampshire in 2006, moving to Pembroke in 2013. He attended Pembroke Academy and was due to graduate in the coming days as fourth in his class. He was looking forward to attending UNH in the fall, where he was planning to study Biomedical Engineering in the Honors Program.
Mario had been employed by D'Angelo's Sandwich Shop for the past year. He excelled at his job and was quickly promoted to a management position.
Mario enjoyed playing tennis and playing video games. In the past year, he had made many new friends, acquired an interest in fishing, and was teaching himself to play the guitar. He was a voracious reader with an intellect far beyond his years. Mario had a warm personality, cared deeply for his family, and, unlike most teens, lit up when you asked him about school.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Sandro Dakalovic and Sandro's partner, Jenna Zullo.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 10 AM at the Congregational Church of Hollis, with a reception to follow. The Church is located at 3 Monument Square, Hollis, New Hampshire 03049.
