Marcel R. "Mike" Chevrette

ALLENSTOWN- Mr. Marcel R. “Mike” Chevrette, 87, of Allenstown, passed away on October 1, 2018 at the Concord Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health.

A lifelong resident of Allenstown, Mike was the son of the late Ulric and Helen (Lauzier) Chevrette. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict.

Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed in the Toolroom for the General Electric Company in Hooksett, a position held for over 28 years.

Mr. Chevrette was a member of the Allenstown Fire Department for over 20 years, eventually being promoted to Deputy Chief. In 1971, he was named Allenstown Fireman of the Year. He also served as the Fire Prevention Officer for the Town of Allenstown.

He was a faithful communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Mike was a very talented woodworker and will be remembered as a man of many talents and very few words. Above all else, he was the consummate family man, dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Richard Chevrette, Simone Herbert, Robert Chevrette and Etienne “Pete” Chevrette.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marcelle J. (Guertin) Chevrette; his two daughters, Diane Adinolfo and her husband Ron and Donna Gryval and her husband Jeff all of Allenstown; his grandchildren, Jonathan Adinolfo and his wife Brandi, Bonnie Hosey and her husband Greg, Thomas Gryval and Christen Jordan and her husband Brian; and his great grandchildren, Aidan, Avery, Parker, Lucas and Blake.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, October 5th from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 9:30 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
