Lorne E. Cook, 86 years old, born 1931 in Springfield, MA, passed away reluctantly, but peacefully in Concord Hospital, NH. He is survived by sons Kurt Cook, Erich Cook, and daughter Gudrun Stanton.
Lorne is a veteran of the Korean War having served in theater at the age of 17 until separating from the Air Force in 1952. After completing college in Massachusetts, he became a Washington, DC police officer until the late 1960’s where he started with Bank of Americard, retiring as Vice President of Operations in VA in the late 1980’s. He then relocated to North Pole, AK to pursue his love of hunting and the outdoors.
His passion was history, particularly WWII, his beloved dogs, cigarettes, and a daily beer. He is fondly remembered as a shoot first, be friendly later kind of guy who lived life his way without apology.
