Paul Rene Descoteaux

January 17, 1939 ~ February 28, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old


Paul R. Descoteaux, 78, of Concord, NH and North Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

He was born on January 17, 1939 in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Louis and Alice (Robert) Descoteaux.

Mr. Descoteaux served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for many years at the Concord Youth Center as a manager at the Varsity Shop. He was a member of the American Legion Post 28, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Concord, as well as a member of the Concord Coachmen Chorus. Paul loved to help others and could also be found volunteering or traveling to his home in Florida.

Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Armand, Raymond, Romeo, Leo and Henry Descoteaux; his sisters, Germaine Pouliot and Claire Richard.

He is survived by his sons, David P. Descoteaux of Concord, Daniel J. Descoteaux and his wife Teresa of Concord; his daughter, Debra A. Hayes and her husband Bradley of Derry; brother, Robert Descoteaux and his partner Bryan Pearl; sister, Theresa Gagnon and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Benjamin Hayes, Alyson Beaulieu, Amber and Jeffrey Descoteaux and Christopher Parent; Great Granddaughter, Aaliyah Descoteaux as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no callings hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 7th, 2017 at 10:00am at Christ the King Parish, Main Street, Concord. Interment will follow at New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen.
