Pastor Leon J. "Gin" Hebert

HOOKSETT – Pastor Leon J. “Gin” Hebert, 86, of Hooksett, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on February 16, 1931 in Hooksett, the son of the late Thomas and Jeanette (Baillargeon) Hebert.

Leon served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his service to his country, Leon worked for several years as a manager at Bernard Tires and later as a Boiler engineer for Velcro. More recently he served as the Pastor for Trinity Full Gospel Church in Hooksett for the last 36 years. Gin was a longtime member of the American Legion in Hooksett. He enjoyed gardening, birds and building things, though not always top quality, his heart was always in the right place.

Besides his parents, Leon was predeceased by his brother, Leo, Billy, Romeo and Gerry and his sister Laudia.

Leon is survived by his wife of 17 years, Phyllis (O’Keefe) Hebert of Hooksett; his sons, Joseph Hebert and his wife Kathleen of Manchester, Patrick Hebert and his wife Caroline of TN, Edmond Cadieux and his wife Jacqueline of Newport; daughters, Debra Patterson and her husband Glenn of Pembroke, Lisa Desmarais and her husband Dennis of FL, Suzette Redmond of Manchester, Cheryl Lesmerise and her husband Albert of Manchester, Marlene Cadieux of Manchester; brothers, Richard "Tom" Hebert and his wife Anita of Allenstown and Roger Hebert and his wife Frances of Hooksett; 27 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2nd at Petit-Roan Funeral Home from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. followed by a Service in the Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Head Cemetery in Hooksett. To leave a memory or offer a condolence please go to www.petitroan.com
