Lorraine A. Racine

Miss Lorraine A. Racine, age 78, of Allenstown, died peacefully at the Pleasant View Center on November 23, 2016 after a long illness.

          Born in Manchester, Lorraine was the daughter of the late John and Antonia (Laferte) Racine.  She was raised and educated in Allenstown and resided there for most of her life.

Lorraine loved to listen to music, especially sacred hymns and country music.  She was very skilled at knitting and crocheting, from simple items to the most difficult patterns.  She was an avid card player, and she was also a devoted Red Sox fan. 

A devout Catholic, Lorraine was a faithful communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and was a member of the St. Therese Rosebush Society.  She loved God, her family and her dear friends with a generous heart, and she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Proulx and Jeanne Kent.

 She is survived by her sister, Pauline Campbell of Allenstown as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, November 28th from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 29th at 10:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church, Allenstown.  Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Allenstown.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be sent to St. John the Baptist Church, 10 School St. Allenstown, NH 03275.
