Bernard M. "Bernie" Emond

LACONIA- Mr. Bernard M. Emond, 55, of Laconia, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Lakes Region General Hospital following a brief illness.

Born on December 27, 1962 in Manchester, he was the son of Dorothy (Coll) Emond and the late Maurice B. Emond.

Bernie was a graduate of Concord High School Special Needs Program and attended programs at Great Bay Training Center during which time his extended family the Mudgetts welcomed him into their home. He enjoyed all types of music but his favorite was rock n’ roll. The Wizard of Oz was his favorite movie; his favorite show was Gilligan’s Island and he was even lucky enough to have met Marianne.

In addition his mother, Bernie is survived by his brother, Edward Emond of Laconia; sisters, Susan Rice of Rockland, MA and Diane Demers of Manchester; 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

 A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00am at the Old St. John the Baptist Cemetery, River Road, Allenstown.  Donations in his memory may be made to Central NH VNA & Hospice, 780 N.
