Barbara "Barbie" L. Celen

Barbara "Barbie" L. Celen, 50, of Allenstown, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Hospice House in Concord surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer that she fought with a smile on her face.

Barbara was born on January 2, 1967 in Manchester, the daughter of Richard Hurlburt and Cecile “Cindy” (Lemire) Wlodyka.

Barbara enjoyed camping, kayaking and birdwatching. She was able to spend time watching her granddaughter, Isabella and her time with family and friends was irreplaceable. Cooking and baking was a passion that she enjoyed sharing with others and she will be missed by all who met her.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 27 years, William “Bill” Celen of Allenstown; her daughters, Meagan LaDuke and her husband Jeffrey of Allenstown and Kim Celen of Allenstown; her father Richard Hurlburt and his wife Linda of Candia, her mother Cindy Wlodyka and her husband Daniel of Manchester; her brother, Glen Hurlburt of Manchester and her granddaughter Isabella.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held Saturday, March 18th from 6pm – 10pm at the Hooksett American Legion, 5 Riverside Street in Hooksett. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive #110, Bedford, NH  03110. The Petit-Roan Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
