Arlene Etta Humphrey

 Mrs. Arlene Etta (Sargent) Humphrey, 91, of Bow, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Harris Hill Center on December 6, 2016.

          Born in Concord, Arlene was the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura (Beede) Sargent.  She was raised and educated in Concord and was a graduate of Concord High School. 

          Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Summit Packaging as a machine operator and later worked for Demo Dolly.  She also spent some time as a C.N.A. 

          Arlene enjoyed macramé and reading and Bingo.  She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Mrs. Humphrey was also the President of the Residence Council at Harris Hill.

          She was predeceased by her two husbands, Paul Pope and Howard Humphrey, her son, Maurice “Sam” Pope and her brother Arthur (Wheeler) Sargent.

          She is survived by two daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Sheldon and her husband David of Pembroke and Paula Mancuso and her husband Bryan of Manchester; a daughter in law Irene Proulx, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

          Our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and residents at Harris Hill Center for the love and friendship that was given to Arlene during her time there.

          Callings Hours will be held on Sunday, December 11th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 12th at 10:00 A.M.  Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Harris Hill Residence Council, 20 Maitland Street, Concord, NH  03301.
