HOOKSETT—Anthony “Tony” McLaughlin, 73, of Hooksett, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was born on July 15, 1943 in Manchester to the late George and Rose (Robidoux) McLaughlin.
Tony was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from the Manchester Fire Department after 21 years of service.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8214, a life member of the Workmen’s Club and a 46 year member and officer of Merrill-Follansbee Post 37 American Legion.
Tony’s family includes his wife Ann (Bullard) (Goodwin) McLaughlin; his sons, Jerry Goodwin and his wife Megan of Hooksett and Sean McLaughlin of Manchester; grandchildren, Scott Reed, Renee Goodwin and Eric Goodwin all of Hooksett; and great grandson, Jaxxon Reed.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 20th from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 11 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church, 21 Main St. in Hooksett. Donations in Tony’s name may be made to either the Manchester Retired Firefighter’s Association, 14 Old Orchard Way Manchester, NH 03103 or to the Town of Hooksett Fire Department, 15 Legends Dr. Hooksett, NH 03106.
